The Clio Cup has been bringing the world’s most prestigious tracks to life with exceptionally competitive races since 1991. Introduced in 2020, the model’s fifth generation continues to build on this success with a high-performance, reliable and affordable product. Heir of the single-make cups founded by the R8 Gordini in 1966, the category keeps excelling as it looks to the future to guarantee even better stability and confidence for all the actors involved.

In the ever-changing automotive and motorsport landscape, Renault Clio has stood the test of time, reinventing itself to keep pace with customer expectations. Clio Cup has recently entered its fourth decade of existence with flying colours, bringing together more than a hundred drivers of all levels. The latest proof of this success ? The Red Bull Ring has already marked out a few extra places on its grid to welcome the Clio Cup Series back from 7 to 10 September...

Building on this singular success, Alpine Racing is pleased to confirm the Clio Cup for the next two seasons, thanks to the support of Groupe Signature, which will now be responsible for its promotion. Groupe Signature is no stranger to the world of Renault cups, having been involved in Formula Renault from 2003 to 2010 and Clio Cup, for which it was the operator in France from 2004 to 2007 and the promoter from 2008 to 2010. Since 2018, Groupe Signature has been successfully reviving the Alpine Europa Cup, and will provide new opportunities for current and future participants.

Always attentive to the perspectives and needs of its customers, the customer racing department and its partners are now offering fertile ground and ideal conditions to all competitors already involved or wishing to enter Clio Cup.

This decision means that the fundamentals of a tried-and-tested approach will be maintained whilst there will be a slight adjustment to the format. In sporting terms, the Clio Cup Series will feature nine meetings and 18 races on some of Europe’s finest circuits in a calendar to be published soon. All the events will count towards the European title, whilst the four regional series will preserve the specific characteristics inherent to the Clio Cup while guaranteeing extremely full and incredibly competitive grids.

Competitors will also continue to benefit from unrivalled support at this level of the pyramid. Benefiting from the invaluable experience of Alpine Racing and the synergies created with Groupe Signature, drivers and teams will continue to compete within strictly identical sporting and technical frameworks to ensure total fairness between all of them. These hallmarks of the most famous of the single-make cups will be complemented by an attractive prize scheme with drivers and teams competing for a total prize fund of over €280,000 throughout the season.

Look out for more details on the future of Clio Cup soon.
