From Circuit Paul Armagnac in Nogaro to the German, French and Turkish special stages, the fifth-generation racing Renault Clios proved to be in fine form on all playgrounds this past weekend !

Clio Cup Series

For its traditional season opener, the Clio Cup Series welcomed one of the biggest Nogaro Easter Cup weekend grids, with nearly 40 cars in action. Among them, David Pouget (GPA Racing) got his campaign to reclaim the title in perfect style by winning both races at the Circuit Paul Armagnac. The Frenchman also dominated in Clio Cup France, while Loïc Labeda (GM Sport) and Gabriele Torelli (Rangoni Racing) shared the honours in Clio Cup España.

Turkish Rally Championship

Round two of the calendar, the Rally Bodrum, saw Clio Rally3 win in the Women’s Turkish Rally Championship with Eda Soylu and Yusuf Çalik, who extended their lead with this second win in two starts. Meanwhile, Sinan Soylu and Bora Yilmaz finished in the overall top ten with Clio Rally3. Demir Sancakli and Aras Dinçer took the RC5 win ahead of Ugur Kaban and Melih Uygur, who remain overall class leaders, and Sevcan Sagiroglu and Güray Akgün, who finished runners-up in the women’s category and completed Clio Rally5’s 1-2-3 in class.

German Rally Cup

The three Clio Rally models continue to shine in Germany. Clio Rally3 won in RC3 with Josef Wecker and Stefan Clemens at the ADAC-MSC Osterrallye Zerf, where Felix Schumann and Gino Kruhs impressed by finishing fourth overall and first in RC4 with Clio Rally4. Meanwhile, Tim Wacker and Luca Kiefer won the RC5 with Clio Rally5 to keep their lead in the DMSB Rallye Cup, DMSB-Rallye-Cup Pirelli and Renault Sindermann Cup.

French Rally Cup

In France, Clio Rally3 took the overall victory at the Rallye de la Briance with Arthur Beylard and Rémi Jardel, who did the same on their Clio Rally3 debut last year at the Rallye 24 Dordogne Périgord. On the same roads, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 won their respective classes, with Franck Chaput and Yann Poursain in Rally4 and Romain Auvert and Maxime Belivier in Rally5.

Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 also enjoyed success at the Rallye de Lozère with Romain Durand - Nicolas Blanc (Rally3) and Sylvain Rouquette - Marjorie Mercier (Rally5), at the Rallye de la Lys with Antoine Dhaisne - Rémi Calonne (Rally3) and Loïc Blanpain - Alicia Duhamel (Rally5), and at the Rallye de la Luronne, with Fabrice Martin - Marlène Thiriot (Rally3) and Alexandre Beaufils - Alexandre Richert (Rally5).

Clio Rally5 was also victorious in the Rallye du Bassin Annonéen with Jason Veret and Thomas Petrucci and in the Rallye des Côteaux du Layon with Willy Mathey and Nelly Guillé. Lastly, Julien Deslauriers Sablonnière and Amandine Brunel drove their Clio Rally5 to victory in the Rallye du Pays d’Olliergues before heading to the Rallye Rhône-Charbonnières for the debut of the Clio Trophy France Asphalte.
