Here’s a look back at the excellent performances of David Pouget, Luca Franca and Giacomo Trebbi in the Clio Cup and the many successes of Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 from France to Ecuador, not to mention several European countries over the Bastille Day weekend !

Clio Cup Series

Clio Cup Series leader David Pouget racked up the points at round six of the calendar at Misano World Circuit. Despite Luca Franca’s two pole positions, the Frenchman climbed from third to first place on Saturday and Sunday to take a double success on Italian soil. Twice runner-up, Racer Luca Franca completed the double in Clio Cup Italia, where he now leads ahead of his teammate Giacomo Trebbi, the new Challengers Cup leader at the midway point of the season. In a fortnight, the Clio Cups will return to the Nürburgring (28-30 July) for a round bringing together Clio Cup Europe, Clio Cup France and Clio Cup Mid-Europe. Clio Cup Italia competitors will contest their next round at the Red Bull Ring in September.

Victorious ahead of Reis Suliman - Rareș Badea and Samuil Mircea - Călin Ilie Maier, the pair also took third place in the Junior category. Lastly, the Clio Rally5 of Jack Brennan and John McGrath comfortably led its class before a fatal accident stopped the Sligo Stages Rally (Ireland).

Leaders from the start, Sebastian Guerrero and Edgar Parreño, took a 45.5-second margin of victory over Javier Serrano and Esteban Maldonado. Andrés and Mateo Gómez completed the podium.
