What’s new compared with previous generations ?

Mégane R.S. Trophy is the first R.S. to pass the symbolic 300hp mark and it boasts a technology derived directly from Formula 1. The turbocharger turbine is now fitted on a ceramic ball bearing system, significantly reducing response time.

The new exhaust system also contributes to improved engine performance. A valve system – automatically controlled by the driving mode selected – provides two engine notes. When open, the exhaust gases are routed along a more direct path, freeing up the full potential of Mégane R.S. Trophy.

Obviously, Mégane R.S. Trophy comes with all the new features introduced on Mégane R.S., such as the 4CONTROL four-wheel steering system. This version is equipped with the Cup chassis, which boasts stiffer suspension and a Torsen® mechanical limited slip differential. As regards the brakes, bi-material discs provide greater endurance.

And because many of you gave us feedback about them, the new Recaro seats let you lower the driving position by up to 20mm. The position of the hard shell backrest can be adjusted more precisely and the Alcantara® upholstery offers perfect support in sports driving conditions.

When it comes to exterior design, Mégane R.S. Trophy will be instantly recognisable thanks to its specific 19-inch Jerez wheels, fitted with Bridgestone Potenza S001 tyres. As an optional extra, the lighter Fuji Light wheels are available. They are fitted with Potenza S007 tyres, which have been developed in conjunction with Renault Sport to deliver exceptional grip and responsiveness.
