A beast on track and road, the Megane R.S. 275 Trophy-R comes into being at the Renault factory in Palencia, Spain, undergoing a process that involves stamping, bodyworking, painting and assembly.

Opened in 1978, the site has made Renault the biggest employer in the Spanish region of Castilla y Leon. The Megane has been built there ever since the first generation rolled off the production lines in 1995, and at the start of this year the Spanish plant produced Megane No. 4,000,000.

As they make their way along the production line, there are some Meganes that need a little extra attention, with the fitting of Öhlins Road&Track shock absorbers, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, Akrapovic titanium exhaust systems, Speedline Turini rims, Recaro Pole Position bucket seats and the like.

See how the record-breaking Megane R.S. 275 Trophy-R is put together.
